Abstract

In this paper. we discuss the concept of an agile PBL ecology for learning, and we explore how this concept can help adaptations of PBL in the future. A PBL ecology for learning is developed as a response to a higher education environment that is undergoing profound changes. An agile PBL ecology for learning deliberately blurs the boundaries between disciplines, between students and teachers, between student and employers, between employers and teachers, between academics and professional staff, between formal and informal learning, and between teaching and research. In this paper, we argue that no one person is responsible for educating students. rather, it is everyone's responsible-teachers, students, employers, administrators, and the wider social networks, inside and outside of the institute of higher education. An agile PBL for learning is about making connections, rather than erecting barriers.
