This chapter is neither a plea for Indigenous inclusion in an academic text nor is it proposing that research projects about us are automatically enriched by our participation. The chapter instead focuses on the power of inclusion of the Indigenous voice in the practice of research, and proposes strategies to challenge and disrupt the academy-led precepts of Indigenous Knowledge(s) reporting that exclude citation and keep at a distance those whose lives are reported.
