Abstract
Na’bulela is a Yugambeh word for fighting. The essential aim for this research was primarily for me to fight to be myself – an artist, and to further explore the arts of healing and decolonisation, following practice-led research and other reflective ways. Most importantly, to have the power to progress and collaborate unimpeded. My ideal outcome in the process of decolonisation is to feel free. For a long time, I have believed that if I go with the flow and am true to myself, then my ancestors will smooth the way for me.
