The exhibition was a retrospective of past artists-in-residence, curated by Louise Brand.

Culture at the Edge of the World is a sound and video installation that explores ideas around engagement in the museum space. It reflects on work developed in the Reversing the Gaze multi-year research project funded by the Australian Research Council under the Discovery Indigenous Researchers Development Scheme. The research focused on the capacity of national museum spaces to reflect and engage First Peoples in their programs.

The installation is a four-minute video loop that explores some of the more difficult moments from the project, including ideas around vestments in Indigeneity and the longevity of the museum, ideas about colonisation and removal, and tropes around what Indigeneity means. The notion of the 'edge of the world' is an exploration of the museum being far removed from the vibrant engaged space of Indigenous culture and struggling to accurately support the multiplicity of identities. The work explores the inner soundscape, with quiet (get close) dialogue building to explore the idea of the Indigenous person (O'Sullivan) in the museum space.
