Abstract
INSTALLATION: Good and Fair: Lift Up Thy Prayer for the Remnant that is Left. (orig: computer, sound installation in space). This excerpt of the work is transferred into a shockwave.
The work explores the difficult relationship between the artist and her father, issues of Aboriginal identity and moments around diversity and inclusion.
The work further explores the notion of the embodied cultural remnant, a theme emerging through the artist/researcher’s creative practice.
The installation was originally presented as a projected screen, surround sound and single audience view. It had a public viewing as a part of the Pink 2 exhibition held at Maitland Art Gallery, NSW from Feb-March 2006.
